'Terrain' Cat.3 Field Watch (40mm) | Deep Night
The Terrain is our contemporary take on the classic 20th Century service issue watch. The retro-pattern Cat.3 edition is inspired by 1950s 'maximum legibility' NATO design specifications, with a hybrid mechanical/quartz movement, built in Zurich, and paired with a two-piece waterproof strap made in Italy from sustainably-sourced rubber.
Rotate North's design principles; purpose, performance and planet, have informed every detail of the Terrain. The black dial is protected by the hardest sapphire crystal, with the hands and markers set in LumiNova, ensuring legibility whatever the conditions.
Water-resistant to 10 ATM (100 metres, 330 feet), you can take the Terrain with you on even the most testing hiking, climbing, or wild swimming expedition. However, it's also an easy watch to wear every day, comfortable and understated.
The Deep Night edition is distinguished by its dark blue rubber strap.
Movement
The Terrain Cat.3 is powered by the Seiko VH31 Hybrid Quartz Movement, an ultra-low maintenance hybrid mechanical/quartz movement, combining the accuracy and robustness of a quartz movement with the elegance of a sweeping second hand. It is exceptionally accurate, highly serviceable and ready for generations of active use.

This NBR compound rubber performance strap is 100% vegan and toughened to withstand the most active outdoor and ocean pursuits. Buckle holes are semi-punched on the strap underside – enabling you to select a single hole for optimum comfort and maintain a clean, minimal finish.
