'Turbulence' Cat.2 Aviator's Watch (46mm)
Inspired by the original 1940s air force issue tool watch, meet the Turbulence, our modern-day reproduction of the large 46mm Aviator's Watch. Fully automatic, built in Zurich, finished in the UK and accompanied by a 100% vegan leather strap made in Italy.
The Category 2 dial is inspired by the countdown 'Luftwaffe Pattern' design.
Rotate North's design principles; purpose, performance and planet, have informed every detail of the Turbulence. The black dial is protected by hardened mineral crystal, with the hands and markers set in LumiNova, ensuring legibility whatever the conditions.
Water-resistant to 10 ATM (100 metres, 330 feet), you can take the Turbulence with you anywhere, even the most testing paragliding expedition. However, it's also an easy watch to wear every day, comfortable and understated, and features an open caseback so that the mechanism can be easily inspected (and appreciated).
Movement
The Turbulence is powered by a self-winding NH35A, 21,600 BPH automatic, 24 jewel movement, with 41 hour power reserve when fully wound. This robust, mechanical movement is powered entirely by renewable energy drawn from the wearer's own arm movements - no batteries are required. It is exceptionally accurate, highly serviceable and ready for generations of active use.
